Weekly workshop ($20):
great singing made easy!
Imagine how brilliantly you could sing if you could get out of your head and into the music. Here’s your chance to practice this in-the-moment approach to performing in an atmosphere of friendly collaboration and non-judgment. Join me for Great Singing Made Easy!
This weekly repertoire coaching workshop is the perfect venue for singers to practice a mindful approach to their art based in the learnable skill of non-judgmental listening. You are welcome to bring any piece of music you’d like to sing for the group—to help you prepare for an upcoming audition or performance or just for the joy of it.
During each workshop, I create a supportive, non-critical atmosphere in which you will easily access your brilliance in all aspects of performance:
▪ vocal technique
▪ musical and dramatic interpretation
▪ stage presence
You will discover that singing music in public can be easy and FUN!
Who are these workshops for?
▪ Singers of all genres and all levels from beginner to professional
▪ Anyone who is interested in watching me coach singers
▪ Anyone who wants to learn about getting into the current moment through non-judgmental listening
Do you provide piano accompaniment?
Yes: a professional pianist will be on hand. If you’d like accompaniment, please bring sheet music (2 copies in your chosen key).
When and where do the workshops take place?
On most Wednesdays at a Manhattan location easily accessed by public transportation—often Ripley-Grier Studios at 520 Eighth Avenue. (The time is either 2:30-4:00 pm or 7:00-8:30 pm.) Subscribe to my newsletter to be notified of upcoming dates and locations.
What is the cost of the workshop?
There is a fee of $20 per person to help pay for the room and the pianist.
